CALMIX®

Calcium ions are a decisive factor during the brewing process. They are both required for mashing and sparging to influence the pH-value via the phosphate buffer of the mash and also for precipitation of oxalates to avoid gushing. There are different possibilities for calcium addition.

ELIWA®

ELIWA® is a modern membrane technology, which replaces the classical way of lime water production using a lime saturator. Water and lime water are reacting inline until a saturation of the treated water takes place. In this case the removal of turbidity is achieved via a membrane.

Waste water recycling

There are a number of good reasons to recycle water. Limited access to fresh water, permanently increasing water costs, the requirement to reduce the environmental footprint often legally enforced, just to name a few. Breweries evaluate their efficiency by measuring the water required to produce an equivalent amount of beer. Water to beer ratios of > 3.5 hl : 1 hl are often achieved by installation of modern equipment and good  housekeeping. However, in order to further reduce the water consumption recycling is required.
